Vacuum using a cleaner without a beater bar, or set the bar to the highest pile setting. If your vacuum has variable power settings, use the low setting. Vacuum in the direction of the rug's length, turning and repeating by section rather than using a back-and-forth motion. Natural wool fibers may shed initially and will lessen with regular vacuuming.
